Human Interest Stories

Human Interest Stories

Though several of these videos purport to stick to the official government version of the events of 9/11 (which can be shown to be utterly false), they are still good human interest stories that movingly relay the horrors of that day.

9/10: The Final Hours

The Twin Towers of the World Trade Center opened on April 4th, 1973. For 28 years, the World Trade Center stood as an office, cultural center, and landmark. The Towers’ last full day of life was on September 10th, 2001. This is the story of that day, of that life, in the city that would never forget.

The 9/11 Hotel

The story of the 14 guests and staff trapped in a hotel beneath the Twin Towers on September 11, and their narrow escape.

9/11: Phone Calls from the Towers

After the 9/11 attacks, many people were trapped inside The World Trade Centers desperate to make contact to the outside world. Some were able to speak on the phone to loved ones, others were only able to leave messages. Many of these calls have never been heard, but now they are being featured in this documentary to help shed light on what really happened inside the towers.

9/11: Press for Truth

Five of the most prominent members of the Family Steering Committee, including interviews with three of the “Jersey Girls,” tell their story for the first time, providing the most powerful argument yet for why 9/11 still needs investigation.

Dust to Dust: The Health Effects of 9/11

Countless first responders have grown ill as a result of their exposure to toxins from the smoldering pile that once was the World Trade Center. Some have contracted severe respiratory problems such as chronic asthma and reactive airway disease. Dust to Dust is a tragic, cautionary tale about heroism, survival, and ultimately betrayal. Narrated by actor and former firefighter Steve Buscemi, the film thoroughly explores and exposes this under-reported health crisis of unprecedented magnitude.

The Falling Man

Tells the story of the most unforgettable image from 9/11 – a photograph of a falling man, a jumper from the North Tower of the World Trade Center.

In Their Own Words: The Untold Stories of the 9/11 Families

The official companion video to 9/11 Press For Truth. Over 2 hours of unseen families’ interviews and rare news clips originally intended for inclusion in the movie ended up on the cutting room floor – until now.

Nine Innings From Ground Zero

Short, well-made documentary showing how the NY Yankees vs. AZ Diamondbacks world series games, just a month after 9-11, provided welcome relief from the uncertainty New Yorkers, and the nation, felt about how to proceed with their lives. The Yankees, during the series, came to symbolize and re-strengthen everything that was, and is, New York… and America.

Tania Head: The Fake 9/11 Survivor

Hers was a tale of tragedy and survival. But it was all a lie.

The Unspeakable

A Film by Dylan Avery

Their loved ones were murdered on 9 /11. Twenty years later, they are still fighting for the truth.

The Woman Who Wasn’t There

Tania Head was never in the Twin Towers on September 11th, 2001 and her entire story was an invention of her prodigious imagination. With complete access and participation from The Survivors’ Network, the story is told from a unique perspective that has yet to be seen and allows the audience to play detective and unravel the psychological mystery of Head’s magnificent tale. The documentary follows the rise of Tania, the unraveling of her story, the revelation of its fabrication, the reactions and repercussions from her closest colleagues, and it seeks to answer the one burning question that remains – who is Tania Head?
